History
In 1931, Russia built a100kW Balaclava wind generator (DWEA, 2001).
In 1941, the United States built a 1.25 MW generator in Vermont (Dodge, 2001).
In the 1950’s, Johannes Juul developed the 200kW
Gedser wind turbine
(Dodge, 2001).
Interest fades until the “Arab Oil Crisis” of the 1970’s.
