Vermont Organic Farmers is the certification committee of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont.

This regulatory group sets guidelines for organic certification to farmers and food processors.

Organic agricultural production has grown in leaps and bounds through out the past ten years. Farmers are finding that making the

switch to organic is relatively easy, but most importantly can prove to be profitable. The following are statistics for the year 2001 on the status

of organic agricultural production in the State of Vermont.
