According to the graph, fuel cells produce only 72 pounds of total emissions per 1650 MWh generated each year, where as the average U.S. fossil fuel plant produces almost 41,500 pounds of total emissions per 1650 MWh.
Fuel cells produce 1,860,000 pounds of CO2 annually, while the average fossil fuel plant generates over 4 million pounds of Co2 annually.
