Society seeks and utilizes reliable energy sources. Energy derived from nuclear power plants is both technologically and economically available. Nuclear energy is potentially dangerous. Nuclear power plant accidents can kill humans, animals, and entire ecosystems. The risks that nuclear power plants present greatly outweigh the contributions they make to the energy supply.
