21 - 25 January 2013
The first meeting of this semester will be held on 21 January 2013; we will review some of the work from the Fall 2012 semester; notes from the Fall 2012 START Seminar may be found here.

This semester we will continue with the theme of guest presenters and delve into Excel and PowerPoint; additional concepts in Word will be explored.

Consider attending the 48th Annual Meeting of the Northeastern Section of the Geological Society of America to be held 18-20 March 2013 at Bretton Woods, NH. Dr. Dolci, and other JSC students will be joining us at this event.

If you are going to NE GSA on 18-20 March 2013, then you must register this week. Please see me. We can book rooms for the nights of the 18th and 19th.

You must apply for JSC Scholarships. Please submit a draft essay to me.

An excerpt by Ellen Gilchrist's book entitled Falling Through Space (1987) was distributed; the content could help build a sense of importance and meaning for your work and your efforts.
