Plans for the frog, bolster, and platform swings are available from the Philo Center in Shelburne, VT.
We purchased a used, reliable and durable sewing machine from Smitty's in Essex Junction, VT;
Bob Smith, the owner, also taught us how to sew.

 

Finished ceiling detail.

 

12-foot 2 x 4 mounted against vertical supports and screwed to all joists.
Ceiling tile molding in place and insulation back in place.

 

Vertical supports bolted to 2 x 12 joists; half-inch bolts, with washers and lockwashers, used.

 

Vertical supports (left) are thinner than the main beam (right).

 

90º bracket welded to bottom of vertical support.
Supports are available in the electrical department at Home Depot.

 

The main room of the house serves as our OT extension room.
