A look at genetically modified foods
Genetic modification of food is the direct manipulation of DNA to create a improved food that can fight disease, grow faster, and increase the nutritional value. As the technology improves, so does the availability of genetically enhanced foods. To many, genetically enhanced foods are the answer to some of the world's problems, however, these enhanced foods do not come without consequences, such as adverse health effects, reduction in small farming industry, and loss of biodiversity. |
