Vermont is the largest producer of maple syrup in the US, and is home to nineteen ski areas. These two industries alone account for nearly one billion dollars contributed to the state's economy each year. Even a slight rise in the average temperature over a period of time may have adverse affects on the way that people live and work in Vermont.
