Air Pollution, and You

The deregulation of power utilities in the United States can only bring harm to our nation’s air standards by allowing an increased amount of harmful chemicals to be released into the atmosphere. Today there exists over 500 old, dirty, polluting power plants that need to be shut down or completely remodeled (Save the Clean Air Act, 2002). These old plants should not be allowed to operate because of loopholes in the system that allow for pollution to occur. We need to create laws that enforce the clean air standards, remodel old power plants, and clean our air. |
